The WaterML Datasets module is where you can define and generate datasets that are compatible with the WaterML 2.0 format for the transfer of hydrological data. Data is extracted as a set of observations of various types, and can be transferred to any specified recipient.

## What is Water ML?

WaterML is an international standard for the representation of hydrological data. See [OGC WaterML](http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/waterml) for details of the WaterML standard.
