Use the Security Manager to give service point operators (or other roles) the ability to record their own meter readings in [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CC](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CC)and Irrigator Portal.

> ℹ️ If you do not configure this setting then the meter writing option will not be available in CustomerConnect.

1. In the Security Manager By Group tab, navigate to the **OICD:SCOPES > site-operations** folder.
2. Select the **Write Meter Readings** scope.
3. On the Authority tab click Insert to add a new authority.
  - In the **Role** field elect SP OPERATOR
  - In the **Party** field choose the party or group to whom to grant access or choose ALL PARTIES to give access to anyone with that role.
4. Click **Save** to save your changes.
