Use the Data Editor to enter data for up to five days. This table is primarily used for data that is always manually entered, and you can enter one only value per day. You can choose to automatically enter a default timestamp, and tab through the data skipping values that have already been set.

If you need to enter a large amount of data, consider using the <u>[Data Import](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPMNC/pages/2056224999)</u> tool.

**To enter data manually:**

**Step 1**

Load up to five days of tag data by setting the following filter criteria.

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| From/To | Enter a date range. |
| Attributes | Select tags that are linked to a specific attribute, or choose all attributes. |
| Tags | View all tags or filter for tags that either have values or do not have values. |
| Default time | Set the default time for data that is entered using a default timestamp. |
| All tags | - If this is selected, the table will display all the tags for the site.
- If this is not selected, the table will display only tags which have an attribute type and are flagged for display. You can set these tag properties in [SCADAConnect Forms](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCFNC). |

**Step 2**

Click **Reload data** to load the filtered data in the data table.

**Step 3**

Set the following editing options using the checkboxes at the top of the data table:

| **Option** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Tab by Site | - If this is selected, the tab key tabs through the table row by row so that you enter the data for each site before moving to the next site.
- If the option is not selected, the tab key moves through the table column by column, so that you fill in all the data for a single day before moving to the next day. |
| Land on filled | - If this is selected, the tab key selects every item in turn, regardless of whether it already has a data value.
- If this is not selected, the tab key skips items that already have a data value. |
| Use default time | - If this is selected, the data timestamp defaults to the Default time set in the filter criteria and the tab key skips the timestamp columns.
- If this is not selected, the tab key does not skip the timestamp columns and you must manually enter a timestamp for each data item. |

**Step 4**

Tab through the table setting the values as appropriate. If you are entering a timestamp, use the format HH:MM:SS.

**Step 5**

Click **Save** to save your changes.
