A User Group is a type of party that can include other parties as members. Parties are configured in the SCADAConnect Forms **Parties** module.

- To view the members of a group, click the **View Members** link
- To view the roles assigned to the group, click the **Roles** link. Roles that are assigned to the group are inherited by the group members.

# Group Members

Parties who belong to a group can be either a *member* or an *active member* of the group. If a group has a designated active member, any messages for the group are sent to that member. If there is no active member, the message is sent to all members of the group.

If you are a member of a group, you can use the **Group Members** screen to make yourself the active member.

**To make yourself the active member of a group:**

2. Click the **View Members** link for the group
3. Select the Active Member button beside your name.
4. Click **Assign** to make yourself the active member.
