> Macro (toc)

An accumulator is a tag in the host database that is configured to store the sum, or accumulation, of changes to another tag, usually an on-site tag. A common use of an accumulator is to store summary volume data over long periods such as for a season. This is difficult with on-site tags, because on-site data storage space is limited.

- From the **Sites** screen, use the **Accumulators** option to view a list of all accumulator tags configured for this site.
- From the **Tags** screen, use the **Accumulators** option to view the configuration details if the tag is configured as an accumulator.

Use the search tool to load accumulator data for a specified period.

Accumulators are configured in [SCADAConnect Forms](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCFNC). See the [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DCNC/pages/2010022503](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DCNC/pages/2010022503) documentation for more information about accumulators.

**To view the accumulator data:**

1. Click either of the links (under Description or Value) in the Accumulator tags search results to open the Tag Details screen for the accumulator tag.
2. From the side menu, choose the **Event > History** option.
3. Enter the details of the time range that you want to view and click **Show History** to view the results on screen.
