> ℹ️ Use this screen to directly edit tag data and event history on sites for which you have authority to do so.

# Who Can Edit Tag Data?

You can edit the tag data if you have the DATA ENTRY role for a site.

- Check who has this role for a site in the **Site > Contacts** screen
- Check the roles for a specific user on the **User Management** screen.
- Configure a user to have this role in [SCADAConnect Forms](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCFNC).

To enter or modify data you must select a site or group of sites. Once you have navigated to a site or group of sites, you can enter new data in bulk, or edit individual tag history events. There are two data editing screens:

- **Editing Data** - primarily for entering bulk sets of up to five days worth of data manually.
- **Event History** - primarily for inserting, modifying or deleting individual data items in the tag event history.

# Selecting a Site or a Group of Sites

Find a site by browsing the authorised Site List or use the Site Search to search for a site by area, site, tag, or date range of the site data.
