# Report Description

The Meter Reading report generates a list of outlets for the use of field officers who can take a copy of the output into the field, complete the meter readings and return the report for manual or automatic input.

| **Parameter** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Area | Select an area for which to run the report. |
| None/Group/Section | Refine the area selection by specifying a particular group or section, or choose none to generate the report for the whole area. |

| Report on | A set of options to restrict the outlets that are printed in the report:
- **General** - include all outlets.

- **Outlet ordered usage > allocation** - include only outlets where the water ordered exceeds the allocation for the property.
- **Within % of exceeding allocation** - include only outlets where the usage is currently within a specified percentage of the available allocation. You are prompted to specify a percentage.
- **Not read since date** - include outlets that have not had a meter reading since a specified date. You are prompted to specify a date and time. |
| Line spacing | Line spacing between each row of the report. |
| Include remote meter readings | Include meter readings that were read remotely from a SCADA system. |
| Format for meter reading import process | Format the report so that the completed readings file can be automatically imported in the Meter Reading Entry Module. See Importing Meter Readings for more details.
This option is only available for reports in CSV (comma separated values) format. [Meter Reading Status Report](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RptNC/pages/1987444959)

The Meter Reading Status report provides the number of:

- Outlets in the report area
- Outlets with good meter readings (that is, readings that match the estimated usage)
- Outlets without meter readings
- Outlets with a reason provided for the reading. These are readings where a variation was accepted, or an adjustment was made for which a reason was entered.

The report also lists the details of all missing readings, or those with variations or adjustments.
