# Report Description

The Meter Reading Variations report generates a list of meter readings for an outlet and property where the actual reading differed from the estimated reading.

See [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MNC/pages/2017787905](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MNC/pages/2017787905) for more details.

An alternative to this report is the [Usage Deviation Report](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RptNC/pages/1987510507) which reports on usage deviations for all outlets within a specified area and period. The Usage Deviation report also allows you to specify thresholds for the usage deviations.

# Report Parameters and Options

You can run the report for an area/group, a specific property, or a specific outlet.

| **Parameter** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Area/Group | Area for which to run the report. |
| Property | Property for which to run the report |
| Outlet | Outlet for which to run the report |
| Start/End date | Date range for the report. There may be several meter reading periods within a date range so there may be more than one variation for an outlet and property. |

# Report Output

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Outlet | Outlet at which the reading was taken. |
| Property | Property ordering water from this outlet (if the outlet is shared, there will be an entry for each property). |
| Estimate for the period | Estimated water usage for the reading period. |
| Meter reading | Meter reading recorded. |
| Actual for the period | Actual water usage determined from the variation details. |
| Effective | Date when the variation was accepted. See [https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MNC/pages/2017787905](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MNC/pages/2017787905) for more details. |
| Entered on | Date and time of accepting the variation. |

The Meter Reading Status report provides the number of:

- Outlets in the report area
- Outlets with good meter readings (that is, readings that match the estimated usage)
- Outlets without meter readings
- Outlets with a reason provided for the reading. These are readings where a variation was accepted, or an adjustment was made for which a reason was entered.

The report also lists the details of all missing readings, or those with variations or adjustments.
