The Orders module is where you can create and manage water orders for your network.
# What is an order?
An order is a request for water to be supplied to specific outlet, for a specific customer via your water network. An order may consist of one or more order items, each with a different flow rate. In a single order, the items run consecutively with no gaps.
You can enter orders yourself, using the DMS Orders module (see [Working with Orders in the Orders Module](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PNC/pages/2051899424)), or your customers can place their own orders using a web portal (see [Web Water Ordering](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PNC/pages/2051899484)), a mobile ordering app, or an interactive voice response (IVR) call.
