Use the Outlet Management tool to find and transfer outlets from one property to another.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ An outlet cannot be transferred if there are pending orders for the outlet, or if the meter reading is not up to date. If there are pending meter readings, you will be prompted to enter them when you transfer the outlet.

# Transfer the Outlet:

1. On one side of the Outlet Management module screen, enter the details of the property to transfer the outlet FROM.
2. On the other side of the screen, enter the details of the property to transfer the outlet TO. It doesn't matter which side you choose to transfer from or to.
3. Select the outlet that you want to transfer and click one of the green **Transfer** buttons between the property panels to transfer the outlet to the other property. If there is a problem with the transfer, an error message is displayed, otherwise the outlet is transferred to the other property.

> ℹ️ **Caution**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Transferring the outlet does not change the outlet operator authority which controls who is able to order water for the outlet. You must make this change manually.

# Change the Outlet Operator

1. Double-click on the transferred outlet to open the **Modify Outlets** screen.
2. Use the **- Remove** and **+ Add** tools to remove the old outlet operator and add a new operator from the property to which the outlet has been transferred.

# Adjust the Water Entitlement Percentages

Outlets have a *Water Entitlement %* attribute. If you use this attribute, the outlet water entitlements for a property must sum to 100%. If you do not use this attribute, the values may have been set to zero because the rule was never enforced, but when you transfer an outlet with the Outlet Management tool the attribute values are checked for both outlets. This means that you must adjust the attribute values for both sets of outlets so that they sum to 100%.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If you do not use this attribute, it doesn't matter what values you use provided they sum to 100%. If you do use the attribute, set the appropriate values.

1. For each property, double-click on the outlets in turn to open their **Modify Outlets** screens and adjust the Water Entitlement % values so that the total for each side adds up to 100%.
2. Click **Save** to save your settings and complete the transfer.
