Create a property in the Properties module before you add the property to the Network Schematic.

1. In the Properties module click **Add Property** to create a new property
2. Enter a Name for the property.
3. Click **Save** to save your changes.

# Configuring the Property

You can now:

- Add the property to the network using the Network Editor. See <u>[Placing a Property](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SMNC/pages/2001011043/Creating+Properties#Placing-a-property)</u>
- Configure property attributes, such as entitlements and allocations. See <u>[Property Attributes](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NWNC/pages/2000978244)</u>.
- Link the property to outlets in the Network Editor or in the Properties module. See <u>[Connecting Network Objects](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SMNC/pages/2001011114)</u>
- Assign an owner to the property. See <u>[Assigning an Owner for a Property](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NWNC/pages/2000978296)</u>.
- Specify crop types for the property. See <u>[Associating a Crop Type with a Property](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/NWNC/pages/2000978318)</u>
