# Viewing Orders

Orders are shown on the network schematic as collections of flow events. A flow event is a change of flow, so the simplest orders consist of one **Start** flow event and one **Finish** flow event.

Orders with multiple flows will have many flow events.

Hover over the flow events for details of the flow and time.

## Color Coding of Flow Events

Flow events are color coded to indicate on which day they are due to run. The color scheme used by default is the one defined in the DMS System Plan Interchanges module, although you can create a color scheme for a specific plan. This color scheme is used for flow events and also for flow curves on the flow histogram. See <u>[Changing the Planning Color Scheme](https://support.rubiconwater.com/help/netviz/content/topics/bespoke/turlock/pcd_tlk_sysplaninterch.htm)</u> for details.

## Flashing Flow Events

Flow events that are flashing on the Network Schematic are orders that have been delayed for more than 24 hours after their requested start time. You may see these events if you have not created a plan every day, or if there were late orders that were not included in the previous plan. These events will continue to flash until the orders are estimated.

## Orders with Messages

An order with an attached message is indicated on the Network Schematic with a red bar between the order flow events. To view the message, right click on the order and choose Details. Then choose **View Message**.

## Linked Flow Events

When a flow event has been linked, the flow event icon changes to indicate how much of the flow has been linked. In this example, all of the finishing flow event is linked, but only 2/5 ths of the starting flow event is linked.
