# Remote Configuration

> ℹ️ On site commissioning of LiFePO4 is recommended in preference to remote configuration based on being a simpler and less manual method of commissioning.

The battery parameter MODBUS registers can be modified remotely using Motorola System Tools Suite (STS). 

Contact your Rubicon representative for a copy of STS and the STS documentation.

The MODBUS registers must be written to the correct values based on the battery type and details.
