Rubicon recommends disposing of lithium batteries in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.   
Please consider recycling the battery.

If you must dispose of a battery:

- If safe to do so discharge the battery before disposal .
- Cover any exposed terminals with an insulating material to prevent short circuits.
- Ensure the battery is packaged appropriately for disposal
- Batteries must not be mixed with domestic or industrial waste.
- Do not throw a battery into fire.
