You can configure a tag so that a history of tag values is stored for use in reporting and trending. If storing of tag history is enabled, a time series of tag values is stored in the database according to the configuration on the tag's Event tab.

**Step 1**

Locate the tag in either the Site Tags or the Data Sources module and open the Event tab.

**Step 2**

In the History Events section, set the following details:

| **Property** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Logged | Select this checkbox to enable storing of tag history. |
| Change Amount | Sets a minimum change to the tag value. If the change in tag value is greater than or equal to this value, then a tag event is stored in the tag history. |
| Time Interval | Sets a minimum time interval in seconds for storing a new tag event. If the interval since the last tag event is greater than or equal to this value, a tag event is stored in the tag history. |

> ℹ️ If both a time interval and a change value are set, an incoming tag event is stored if it satisfies either one of the criteria.

**Step 3**

Click **Save** to save your changes.
