The Rating Tables module is where you can create and manage rating tables that are used for calculating the value of tags.

# What is a Rating Table?

A rating table is an equation, or a table of points that is used to derive the value of a tag from the value of a different, source tag. Rating tables are commonly used to calculate volume or flow from water level, but they are not restricted to this use.

> ℹ️ **Example**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Water level measurements may be used to derive reservoir volume from a set of calibrated measurements or from a supplied equation.

# Rating table date ranges

A source tag may have many rating tables, but only one rating table can be valid for source data collected at a particular date and time. See <u>[Rating Table Status](https://rubiconwater.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DCNC/pages/2048721188)</u> for more information about how different rating tables are applied.
